My thoughts on Shattered

Shattered is the second book in the Alaskan Courage series.  I have not read the first book, Submerged, but plan to and I am anxiously awaiting the release of the third book, Stranded, this October.  Although, it is part of a series, this can easily be read as a stand alone book.  There is enough back story given throughout the book that you can follow along easily.  I really enjoyed the mystery throughout the book and did not find it to be overly predictable at all.  I also liked following along as Landon and Piper allowed themselves to realize and admit their feelings for each other.  I was as intrigued by the mystery as I was their relationship.  

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery, combined with a romance.  There are some scenes that a teen might find disturbing, so I strongly suggest that a parent reviews the book before allowing their teen to read it.
